    Emergency: Beauty

BeautyAnyone who has paid attention The Birmingham Mail today will have heard about the plight of Beauty the kitten. Whilst we will admit a passing snigger at some of the frankly bizarre details we are concerned that Beauty still doesn’t seem to be at home where she belongs.

We think this means that people of Moseley must do what they are best at…… finding a missing cat. You know what you need to do , check boxes, disused cars and fridges.  Beauty must be found.

If you find her then pass details on here. There’s a reward apparently.

It’s my mum who stole the kitten, the entire situation is stupid.

      I apologise for her.

I do hope Beauty is found, we’ve got 5 cats of our own.

      Oh no.

As the case is sub judice I’m not completely sure you’re allowed to say that.

But as it’s your Mum we’ll let you off.

Its not up to you to apologise for your mum’s actions. I’m sorry she’s put you in this position. I am very keen to find Beauty so thanks for the extra publicity.

Sorry correction – the above should have read I’m very sorry you’ve been put in this position (not that she’s put you in)

      A philosophical question:
Is it worse to steal a husband or a cat?

I am not going to enter in to a dispute on the rights and wrongs of my domestic set up on a site devoted to cats! What I would say is that the husband had a choice in the matter whereas the kitten did not

It might be an idea to try and keep this to trying to find Beauty.

Metro were really not that co-operative. A front page story, but no picture of the kitten. Instead pictures of Nick Robinson. Very bad form.

Oh, has Nick Robinson gone missing as well?

Whilst an address probably wouldn’t be helpful is there a rough area we can direct people to look in?

      I wouldn’t look outside B11, B12 and B13.

It would be likely that someone has taken the Kitten in and are looking after it.

I guess it’s been missing for over three weeks now so maybe a poster campaign with picture placed in local shop windows may get a better
response than national newspapers and television news programs.

There have been posters in the appropriate windows for some time. I checked today and at least two of the key posters are still up.

Would it not be simpler to ask the person who took it, given that we apparently know who it is? Unless it is being suggested she just dumped the kitten in the streets around Moseley?

Her daughter is being very helpful here so may be able to find out a bit more

A woman wronged can be extremely rash and angry but that does not mean she would intentionally expose the kitten to harm

Is this the lady that put the cat in the dustbin?

No it isn’t the lady that put the cat in the dustbin. They found that one. It was in the dustbin.

Shirley, we should stress that as far as this site is concerned we have no idea who took the kitten. The press might report otherwise but we don’t want to make any assumptions. Not that the Hemming family are in any way litigious.

Press reports appear to indicate that the kitten was provided the opportunity to live in the wild. It isn’t at home so you can draw your own conclusions from that.

If anyone says I am litigious I’ll sue.
      Or perhaps not.

I can confirm that poor Beauty is still missing. The person who is accused of stealing her is not forthcoming about what she has done with her

A pretty homeless kitten named Jodie turned up last week on Darren and Max’s doorstep in Albert Square. Perhaps it has gone to London to seek its fortune.

Perhaps beauty is being hidden in spare bedroom number 5,6,7 or 8 ?

Don’t know where she’s hiding but given the horrible weather I really hope someone has taken her in and she’s stretched out on a rug in front of a fire fast asleep (just as her brother Twinkle is at the moment).

I hope an over-assertive local authority has not peremptorily admitted the cat into care, or – conversely – that a negligent and incompetent local authority will not fail to recognise it on cctv.

Oops, the above comment was just what I was parroting from a different site, over christmas when visting home she said she didn’t take the cat and just picked it up.

In that case where is the cat? Why was she anywhere near the cat in the first place?

Poor Beauty has still not returned. She was a lovely little kitten but I fear the horrible weather before Christmas may have been the end of her 🙁

Doesn’t it piss you off when you are sitting in a pub telling people about a cracking cat you met that there isn’t an objective standard to gauge how good it is against another cat? People can rate hurricanes but not cats. That’s ridiculous, I see loads more cats than hurricanes. I intend to redress this imbalance by making a universal standard of cats.

Many people ask if this site is restricted to just cats from a particular post code. It isn’t, cats don’t respect post codes, they don’t send letters.
